CTV250
No contrast.
T102 ( BC558 ), had a 200R leak between C/E.

Green cast after warm-up.
TEA 5101.

Tuning.
Press OSD button on handset for 3 seconds, program and channel numbers appear, channel (UHF) shown as two dashes. Enter channel directly or use channel up/down to search. Press OSD again and programme number will flash, select programme the channel is to be stored in. Press OSD to store the channel. Exit by holding OSD button for 3 seconds.

CTV1400
No go with whine from power supply.
Check for dry joints on line driver transformer.

CTV2000
Field collapse.
Check pin 9 of TDA3652 (28v) & voltage at pins 12 & 15 LA7800. If no 12V at pin 12, R840 (10R/2W) oc.

CTV2110
Stuck in standby.
ZD403 (12v zener) sc, R435 (5R6) oc in field stage. Also check C409/10 (47uf).

CTV2200
Top of pic compresses after a while.
C812 (0.018uf/160v) in feedback TDA3652 & LA7800 ).

Dead, no obvious sc, no stby light.
Check 12v reg IC103 & C524 (470uf).

Field jitter, pic rolls int.
Replace C814 (470uf/35v).

CTV2210
Set stuck in stby, will start but goes into stby.
Check ZD403 in field stage, R435 (5R6), C409 & C410

TVR1
Dark pic.
R1640 (220k).

Starts from cold but fails after short time when started from warm.
D1507, C1511 (100uF/160v).

TVR2
Dead or int dead.
C1507 (1uF/50v).

TVR3
Capstan speed too fast.
IC300.

Colour drops out.
IC10 (UPC1420).

Cuts out.
D21 (9v1 zener).

Dead.
Check D306, IC301, C310, R301 and C307.

Line disturbance on dark scenes.
STK7348.

No col on playback.
Replace crystals.

No go set whistles.
C310 in power supply (3.3nf/2kv).

When first switched on, picture lacks green though some was visible in the highlights. Gradually more and more green would appear until the picture didn't look too bad. It was impossible to get accurate grey scale tracking across the full range of brightness, and if the unit was cooled down, it was back to a lack of green again.
